Human Resources Department
The Human Resource Department’s function is to help and support departments, directors and each employee in HR related responsibilities within the Cree Nation of Eastmain. Our team manages and maintains the personnel files, benefit files, and other related files. In order to better serve the employees, we maintain good relations with all levels of CNE. We help to ensure policies and procedures are communicated and followed throughout the organization.
In day to day tasks, we take care of timesheets, leave of absences, updating files, and recordkeeping. In the near future, we will be more proactive in going paperless by launching an Employee Self Service which will enable employees and supervisors to access their files online. Therefore, we do not have to use paper leave of absence forms and paper timesheets.
Our team strives to support and inspire all CNE employees to become more engaged in their workplace. And we envision to increase capacity development, build confidence, encourage and motivate employees to become future leaders.
Information & Technology
Top management demonstrates leadership and commitment with respect to the quality management system by taking accountability for the effectiveness of this system. They ensure that policies and objectives are established, implemented, and maintained for the quality management system and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization. They must engage, direct, and support persons who contribute to the effectiveness, promote improvement, and support all relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership. Organizational roles, responsibilities, and authorities are assigned and communicated by top management within the organization.
Management reviews the quality management system, at planned intervals, to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, effectiveness, and alignment with the strategic direction of the organization by establishing objectives at relevant functions, levels, and processes. They must determine, provide, and maintain the work environment necessary for the operation of its processes and to achieve conformity of services.
Service directors plan, implement, and control the processes needed to meet the requirements for the provision of services, and to implement the actions determined by the management team by determining service requirements and resources, establishing criteria and control of the processes in accordance with the criteria. The organization establishes, implements, and maintains a design and development process that is appropriate to ensure the subsequent provision of products and services by determining the essentials for the specific types of products and services to be designed, developed, and delivered.
